The scientists in recent times were very particular about conducting a study wherein they could study the feasibility and efficacy of the carotid-sparing-intensity-modulated radiotherapy in the earlier days of glottic cancer. For the purpose of conducting this study, nearly 18 patients were taken who have already been diagnosed with the treatment of carotid-sparing-intensity-modulated radiotherapy. The quantum of dosage which was taken by them was around 55 Gy/20 fractions in the span of 4 weeks. However, the results were well elaborated enough to highlight that there were not any major CIT difference between the patients who were already diagnosed with the treatment of carotid-sparing-intensity-modulated radiotherapy. The duration of occurrence somewhere ranged between 8 to 40 months. Therefore, there was no such evidence to support the ill-effects of carotid-sparing-intensity-modulated radiotherapy. Therefore, care must be taken while practicing this treatment of carotid-sparing-intensity-modulated radiotherapy. In the absence of proper care, there was a possibility of a greater amount of risk in the population which was already treated by the medicines involving the treatment of carotid-sparing-intensity-modulated radiotherapy. Therefore, techniques like rotational techniques which include the ones like helical tomotherapy should be used carefully and not very frequently.
