— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
What about an overall, nationwide plan? Do we know if that's in the works?#PWChat
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
Yes! It would probably be even faster if ….#PWchat
— Jasminka Criley MD, FACP, FHM (@criley_md) November 19, 2020
Yes, we definitely need a nationwide plan and I think with his new task force, that is in the works. #PWchat
— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
Agree! People need to get the right information. #PWchat https://t.co/ZQPMh1N8S0
— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
We've waited too long. It's time to take action. #PWchat https://t.co/6PFww6cg7Q

Q2: How will Medicare be affected by a Biden administration?#PWChat pic.twitter.com/9U0gtVicvO
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
. @DrLindaMD How many extra people is that?
What is # of our 60-65 year olds?#PWchat— Jasminka Criley MD, FACP, FHM (@criley_md) November 19, 2020
I find around 20 million but would have to fact check that. #PWchat
— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
. @bloomrhealth Good point.
This has definitely been a renaissance time for #telemedicine #telehealthWe learn many things that worked in #pandemic and those that can (and should) continue to work when all settles down. #PWchat
— Jasminka Criley MD, FACP, FHM (@criley_md) November 19, 2020
Great point! I think this pandemic showed us what a great tool telemedicine is. I hope those codes continue to be covered and evolved. Our healthcare system is stressed out. #PWchat https://t.co/iXtbYN1nrc

Q3: How will the role(s) of the CDC change under a Biden administration? #PWChat pic.twitter.com/qkPea9Pb4S
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
How do you think the role compare with how it is currently, regardless of the #COVID19 #vaccines ?
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
That should be the role now but our political leaders have been over-riding them. #PWchat
— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
@joebiden will focus on COVID-19 vaccines, treatments, and new technologies to identify, cure, and reduce the transmission of the virus. It is of paramount importance to President-elect Biden, as these matters were the centerpiece of his campaign. https://t.co/VAUW30iG70
— Elias Said, MD, FACEP (@MdFacep) November 19, 2020
Ha! Good question.
Shouldn't @CDCgov be a national public health Institute that protects public health and safety and that has respect an authority in leading the nation through public health crises like #pandemic?Perhaps: get respect back?#PWchat https://t.co/AC8Lujag4W
— Jasminka Criley MD, FACP, FHM (@criley_md) November 19, 2020
Q4: Can a Biden administration restore more widespread public trust in the FDA? How? #PWChat pic.twitter.com/GP9iB9CNtd
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
It is so important that the American public trust what is coming out of there. How will we convince people to take a vaccine if they don't trust where it is coming from? #PWchat
— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
👏
— Dr. Jonathan N. Stea (@jonathanstea) November 19, 2020

— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020

— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
Q6: Will science advisers, including those at the Office of Science and Technology Policy, be empowered under a Biden administration? #PWChat pic.twitter.com/yihGUrkpyv
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
A6. Yes, I believe he will treat them like real advisers. He will listen to the science and the recommendations they come up with. #pwchat https://t.co/aTbBXUf0fQ
— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
A6: Yes, It will be a hard battle but Biden+Harris have what it takes to get it done #PWChat https://t.co/tFChsi1Slk

Q7: What will become of the Affordable Care Act under a Biden administration? #PWChat pic.twitter.com/Wj2zNBKnVe
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
can you elaborate on that?#PWChat
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
A7. One thing, he is planning a public option that is similar to medicare. Also, increasing market subsidies and adopting auto-enrollment. Not sure how this will play out in real life. #pwchat https://t.co/Ooqbi2AiZu
— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020

— Linda Girgis MD (@DrLindaMD) November 19, 2020
Q9: Do you think a Biden administration will be able to successfully increase funding for rural health and mental health services?#PWChat pic.twitter.com/8SAqSGkGSB
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
The only way Biden gets that support in the Senate is for both of the runoff elections in Georgia to go Blue. You want to increase funding for rural health and mental health services (or anywhere for that matter) help elect the Democrats in Georgia.
— Rich & Patty Burns (@HealthnFreedom) November 19, 2020
Q10: Do you think Biden’s plan to enact reforms to reduce prescription drug prices, lower other healthcare costs, and raise taxes on capital gains and ordinary income for high earners and heirs—to finance his healthcare plan—is feasible?#PWChat pic.twitter.com/3W6s41VhRD
— Physician's Weekly (@physicianswkly) November 19, 2020
. @DrLindaMD And perhaps even more important: lots of interest groups and lobbies that do not share the same interest … Smart strategy, capable team, shared goals … and much more will be needed. Not an easy task. #PWchat
— Jasminka Criley MD, FACP, FHM (@criley_md) November 19, 2020
