A comparison of three strategies for monitoring childhood asthma suggests that the change from baseline in symptom-free days does not appear to differ between them. However, patients assigned to web-based monthly monitoring with the Childhood Asthma Control Test and 4-month monitoring of exhaled nitric oxide levels were able to substantially reduce patients’ daily dose of inhaled corticosteroids.
