Developmental sequelae rate is high in children with congenital heart diseases. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to understand the relationship between Postoperative factors within the Critical Care Unit along with Adolescent Developmental Outcomes after Cardiac Surgery. 80 adolescents who were having congenital heart disease and requires a heart surgery were observed in this study. There were different outcome measures that had been recorded in the movement assessment battery for children-2( which is related to motor), Leiter Brief Intelligence Quotient ( which is related to cognition) and Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (which is related to behavior). As a result Dopamine use was associated with lower cognitive scores (β = –14.02; p = 0.027). Longer PICU stay (β = 0.18; p = 0.002), having an open chest postoperatively (β = 3.83; p = 0.017). Hence as a conclusion we can say that there are various developmental outcomes in elders that are related to the factors of postoperative course in the PICU as infants. Lower hemoglobin and higher creatinine were related to behavioural difficulties. Whereas mechanical ventilation and dopamine use are related to motor scores.
